Alneelain University, Sudan. Adviser: Dr. Moawia Elfaki Yahia
Attended two semesters of course work and wrote a thesis under the title: A Decision Support System to Determine the Impact of Seeding Rates on Crops Yield.
Recommendation for this education: “I knew Mr. Siddig when he was my student in a M.Sc. program in computer science and information technology at Alneelain University in Sudan. In that program I have taught two courses, each in a semester of the course work part of the degree. Mr. Siddig was highly ranked in the marks of the two courses, where he particularly scored the highest mark in the Neural Networks course. Afterwards, he thought the Neural Networks course to B.Sc. students in Alneelain University among other courses he used to teach. It as well a pleasure for me to supervise his M.Sc. thesis, in which he applied the decision support systems (DSS) to agriculture based on his background in agricultural economics and his work as staff member in the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Khartoum. His M.Sc. thesis was one of the best I have supervised, from which we presented twice in international conferences and published one article in a refereed journal. I am proud to endorse Dr. Siddig based on my relationship with him throughout the last 8 years, since he was my M.Sc. student, as a coauthor, and as a colleague and active contributor to the research in the areas of information technology. Recently, he is more in the area of agricultural economics motivated my modeling the agricultural economic policies within the context of Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) approach. Finally, Dr. Siddig has a very open personality that moves easily across cultures, which strengthen his team memberships and adaptability. He is also a very hard worker, competent, and committed to time and quality constraints.”
