After completing general education by 1979, M Haroon joined UofK’s Faculty of Arts, where he studied philosophy and psychology and graduated in 1984 with an honor’s degree in psychology.

Following an appointment as a teaching assistant at the UofK, he obtained, from the same university, a Master’s degree in psychology, on: “The Role of Media in Politically Socializing Sudanese Adults“.

M Haroon then left for the United Kingdom, 1992-1997, for a PhD program at the London School of Economics and Political Science {LSE}. In 1997 he obtained a PhD on: “Social Representations of Islam in the West “. In the meantime he also taught social psychology to undergraduate students at the LSE.
