1.     Acted as Secretary of the Parasitology Departmental Board (1986-19890).

2.     Representative of the Department in the Faculty Board (1986-1987).

3.     Before 1986, parasitology was part of Microbiology and Parasitology Department. I participated with fellow colleagues to formulate and forward a submission to the Senate through the Faculty Board for the creation of “Parasitology Department”. The submission was approved and a fully-fledged Parasitology Department had since been created.

4.     During may tenure as Head of Parasitology Department, I managed to:

i.  Furnish the Department with equipments, lab supplies and books (texts and references).

ii. Revise and update with fellow members the parasitology syllabus.

iii. Expand the Department premises by adding of laboratory which became the main research laboratory for staff and graduate students.

5. Designed and prepared the proposal for Master Degree in Parasitology by       course and research which is now implemented
