Federal Ministry of Health, Sudan                                                                         1981 – to date

  • Worked in different roles under the Sudan Federal Ministry of Health since graduation in 1981.
  • Recently promoted to Level 2 of the government employment scale.

 

Chest Clinic, Gaafer Ibn Auf Pediatric Reference Hospital, Khartoum           2014 – to date

  • Volunteered as a doctor since retirement, working on the diagnosis and treatment of TB.

 

Pediatric Emergency Hospital, Khartoum                                                                 1989 – 2014

  • Took charge of the Nutrition and Rehabilitation Center of the Pediatric Emergency Hospital after being in charge of a similar center at Fat’helrahman Elbashier Health Clinic.
  • Responsible for the emergency wards.
  • Assigned an additional task of running the Hospital Employees Clinic.
  • In charge of the Clinic for Tuberculosis Control Program for eight years till retirement in 2014.

Alsafya Hospital                                                                                                           1987 – 1989

Worked as a medical officer in the department of medicine.

Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum                                                       2010 – to date

  • Joined the university as a part-time lecturer (2010–2012) and as a fellow staff member since 2012.
  • Coordinated Community Medicine studies for fourth year students (semesters 7 and 8) for three years (2013-2016).
  • Participated in realizing the objectives of the introductory and advanced courses in Epidemiology of the Master of Community Medicine (MCM), by designing and preparing lectures, tutorials and assignments.
  • Acted as the coordinator of the introductory module to epidemiology of MCM between 2013-2015.
  • Taught parts of the introductory module to epidemiology for the first and the second batch of the MCM program.
  • Coordinated the advanced module of epidemiology for the MCM batch of 2014-2015.
  • Taught parts of the advanced module of epidemiology for the first MCM batch.

Al-Ahfad University                                                                                                    1998 – 1999

  • Worked as a part-time teaching assistant in Mother and Child Care.

Omdurman Islamic University                                                                                   1985 – 1987

  • Seconded from the Ministry of Health to Omdurman Islamic University for two years to establish and run the female students’ health center.
  • Simultaneously worked in the Girls’ College of Omdurman Islamic University, as a teaching assistant in physiology.
