I participated in the following Multi-Centre Randomised Controlled Clinical Trials (RCT’s):
These were done during my work at Guy’s King’s Collee and St Thomas’ School of Medicine of the University of London – in the period from 200 to 2003
1- Interferon Beta for Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PRISMS)
2- The EVIDENCE study, Rebif versus Avonex for Relapsing Remitting RRMS (A comparative Study of 2 Preparations of Beta Interferon). I was a member of The UK-EVIDENCE trial group. (Panitch et al, 2002, Randomized, comparative study of interferon beta-1a treatment regimens in MS: The EVIDENCE Trial, Neurology, 26;59(10):1496-506).
3- Antegren (Intravenous injection of Humanised antibodies to an Adhesion Molecule -Natalizumab) in Relapsing Remitting MS.
4- Anakinra (Antibodies against Interleukin I receptors Injections) for MS
5- Neuroblock (Botulinum Toxin Type B Injections) for Spasticity in MS
6- Oral Copolymer A- Glatiramer acetate in MS- (CORAL study)
7- Zonisamide for Epilepsy (Add-On Treatment for Refractory Epilepsy)
8- CAMS Study (Cannabinoids in MS)
