RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  1. During the period of my service in the University of Khartoum, I offered courses in Histology and Emryology. I also sat on many committees including: Department Board, Faculty Board, University Setane, University Admission Committee, Curriculum Revision committee, Graduate Collage Board; and Several Ad Hoc committees.
  2. In Saudi Arabia, I established the department of Anatomy within the newly emerging College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to teaching and administrative affairs, I have been involved in various aspects like design of buildings, recruitment of staff members, acquisition of equipment, planning and reviewing of curricula and selection of relevant reference and textbooks and periodicals.
  3. I also served on various committees within the college as well as within the University. Most important of these were Membership of the University –Scientific Council; and University committees on academic Affairs; Administrative Affairs; and Housing.
  4. For the last 33 years, I helped the laboratory instruction, i.e. throughout the period of my service in Khartoum; Saudi Arabia; and during the years of my postgraduate study in U.S.A. and U.K.
  5. I have been involved in the assessment several promotions of staff members, both locally and outside the Sudan, and assessment of a books intended for publication.
  6. I acted as examiner, co- examiner and external examiner to undergraduate student as well as postgraduate students.
  7. As Vice – Chancellor of the University of Khartoum, I was the principal academic and administrnal examiner to undergraduate student as well as postgraduate student.st rative officer of the University. In the capacity, I was the Chairman of the Senate, Advisor of the Chancellor on any matter affecting the policy, finance and administration of the University, responsible to the University Council for maintaining the efficiency and good order of the University, and for the proper enforcement of the statutes, regulations and discipline in the institution.
    For the performance of my duties as Vice – Chancellor, I presided over many committees and boards including those of Deans, Appointments, Promotions, Executive and Finance, Senate Advisory, Honorary Degrees, Students Affairs, Buildings, University Press, University Farm and Extra – Mural Studies.
    During my term of office, the University witnessed a substantial increase in students’ intake and a radical reformation in their hostel accommodation. On behalf of the University, I also concluded several linkage agreements with a number of Universities and Organizations in Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States of America. I was also a member of the National Council for Higher Education as well as many of its committees including that of Admission to Higher Education
