Workshops and Courses attended

1. November 1995: A course on instruction technology and improving lecturing and presentation skills of the staff of the University of Khartoum. Held at the Faculty of Education, University of Khartoum. Success in this course was a prerequisite for lecturing at University of Khartoum. A certificate was awarded.
2. March 1997: A workshop on molecular biology organized by the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Khartoum, in collaboration with a visiting staff from University of California, Davis, USA.
3. August 1998: A workshop on “Novel Approaches in the Management of African Livestock Ticks” held in the premises of the International Center of Insect Physiology and Ecology, ICIPE, Nairobi, Kenya. A certificate was awarded.
4. October 2000 to March 2001: A six-month German language course at the Goethe Institute, Goettingen, Germany. Sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Final exam was held by the Goethe Institute and the George-August University, Goettingen, Germany. A certificate was awarded.

5.      October-November 2003: EMBO/ICTTD-sponsored practical course on “Integrated Molecular Diagnostics for Tick-borne Diseases using RLB hybridization and Micro array-based Biochips” held at the University of Pretoria in South Africa between the 27^th of October and the 7^th of November 2003. A certificate was awarded.
