1. Chairmanship of two agricultural schemes in North Darfur (Sagel Naam and Kebkabya). This method policy making, management, production and sale of produce.

2. Chairmanship of various technical committees studying priorities of development strategies for Darfur.

3. Crisis management during the turmoil in the Southern Sudan and Darfur and participation in the conflict resolution.

4. As a legislator, participating for 13 years as a parliamentarian and chairman of a parliamentary committee, Sudan National Assembly on Education and Scientific Research.

5. University administration which entailed promotion of university objectives, management of budgets, personnel, recruitment of teaching and technical staff and higher education and research development and capacity building for a period of 8 years (1987-1992) and (1997-1999).
