I have directed my attention lately to the area of polymorphism and DNA in animal populations and blood groups in humans and animals from a population perspective. We have collected a large amount of data from Saudi Arabia which is currently under analysis by a few researchers. Our work on protein polymorphism in the camel was the first ever to be recorded and it generated tremendous interest since it publication. It was in cooperation with Professor Saha, then at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum.
