An experienced academic and research professional,with over 19 year practical experiences in teaching, initiation, design and implementation of scientific research projects in microbiology, immunology, molecular biology and biological production of diagnostics and vaccines, scientific research ‎findings and One Health training and tackling model systems against emerging infectious diseases.

 

Currently an academic staff (full-time) at the Department of Preventive Medicine and Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Khartoum.

Also academic staff at Sudan Academy of Sciences, a governmental university of postgraduate studies, in excess of 7 years demonstrated success in supervising Master and PhD students while maintaining high interest and achievement.

External Supervisor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University Putra Malaysia (UPM).

Lecturing aquatic animal microbiology at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, college of Veterinary Medicine, Bahri University, Sudan, instructing the Aquatic Animal Health Program.

Previous Director of Al-Neelain Medical Research Institute (NIMR), Al-Neelain University, Sudan which is one of the most leading professional research institutes in Sudan.

Strong track record in Instructing microbiology courses for under graduate university students as well as supervising research activities for post graduate students, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Khartoum and many other Sudanese universities. Supervised and co-supervised Diploma, Master and Ph.D. students.

Solid knowledge and practical experiences in Biological production of diagnostics and vaccines, biotechnology and the advanced molecular biology techniques.

Headed the Brucella Department, Central Veterinary Research Laboratory and conducted extensive epidemiological research in isolation, identification and characterization of the species causing abortion in all parts of Sudan.

Expert of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) laboratory twinning project (candidate laboratory) between Sudan and the United Kingdom 2010 – 2015.

Participated in many scientific researches academic conferences and workshops and have many scientific publications in reputable journals.
