Lead expert in the field of brucellosis of a candidate laboratory of the OIE laboratory twinning project of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and is implementing a twinning project, 2010 – 2015, between the OIE reference laboratory at UK, the Animal Health Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA), and the Brucella Department of the Veterinary Research Institute (VRI), Sudan.
Counterpart of a project entitled (Better diagnosis of neglected infectious diseses) in collaporation with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, Sudan, funded by NIDIAG, a European research network (Collaborative Project) coordinated by the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM, Prof. Marleen Boelaert, Antwerpen, Belgium).
Animal Health Expert of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) of the Arab League, Khartoum, Sudan. The main responsibilities were to assist in strengthening the veterinary education and veterinary services including upgrading diagnostic/research laboratories, veterinary field facilities and veterinary regulations and legislations in the Arab States to meet the international standards. Assessed, set the priorities, prepared and executed national and regional training sessions.
National Counterpart of IAEA TC project entitled “Setting up a national Network for diagnosis of livestock diseases that affect exports in Sudan” (sud /5/031) which was funded by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), 2007- 2010.
A member of the National Team of Sudan Atomic Energy Commission (SAEC), representing the livestock and Fisheries sector, and participated in the preparation of the Sudan Country Program Framework (CPF) (2009 to 2013) with IAEA which defines potential Technical Cooperative Projects (TCP) based on national development plans and priorities.
Participated in Technical cooperative program AG: TCP/SUD/0056 entitled “Emergancy Assistance to Brucellosis” which mainly focused on the Control of Contagious Diseases: epidemiological sero-Surveillance, diagnosis and vaccination in Khartoum and El Gazeera States, Sudan, Funded by the FAO of the UN, 1993 – 1997
