I joined University of Khartoum as Ass. Professor at the dept .of psychiatry undertaking both teaching and clinical schedules at Khartoum main teaching Hospital. Since April2011,I have been head appointed head department of psychiatry. I am also responsible of the research Unit at the Department and the psychiatric training scheme.
My team provides National Neuropsychiatric tertiary service, besideaq Capital wide general adult psychiatric service.
I established and chaired Student counseling service at the faculty of medicine, University of Khartoum.
I also chaired the Dept, of psychiatry during last year in representing the psychiatric chair at the Faculty Board.
I lead the research Panel at the senior psychiatry Training scheme.
As the Secretary of Psychiatric conference committee, I am heavily involved in the organization of two international psychiatric conferences taking place in Khartoum this year.

I have been chosen earlier this year to lead this department, in order to be able to change the curriculum to embrace new international trends in curriculum developments.

1/April 2014-ongoing Covering Locum consultant for in patient Service at Derby.
Currently and for 2Month I would be overseeing a ward at Derbyshire foundation trust, as I enjoyed several locums with Derbyshire trust during my vacations.
December 2013- End Jan2014 L consultant in-patient service At Derby:
I Provided cover for in patient service at Radbourne unit beside covering the crisis team for one week during that period.
April 2013-02/August/13 L Consultant in General Adult at Derby Mental health:
This is my second locum consultant position with this trust over the past 3 years to cover locum consultant position in general adult psychiatry .At the present position I undertake the leadership in recovery service in the community supporting very active community team ,beside over seeing a number of outpatient clinics.
July 2012-Aug 2012 Locum Consultant Old Age Psychiatry:
I joined Herefordshire mental health service for the 5th time over the past 6years to cover a locum consultant position in psychiatry albeit this time in old age psychiatry, which I enjoyed very much as extension to my interests in Neuropsychiatry. I provided services in all spectrum of this specialty, from memory clinics to community and inpatients services.
