– During this period a part from teaching at the University as an Associate Consultant for Techno on Consult and was involved in the following projects.
– In ajoint veneeure between the University of Khartoum, the national research Centre, the dept. Of Forestry and the Department
– Survying, Contributed with leading Consultants in updating parts of western Sudan (Kordofan State),of the Sudan .
Topographic maps using satellite imaery for the first time in Sudan. The mapping project included two vegetation maps at scale I:250000 using also appropriate satellite imagery. Some of the advantage of this project was to pinpoint the problems in introducing such techniques in the
Savannah plains of the Sudan.
2001 – 2006 Head Dept. surveying Engineering.
1980 – 1999: 1980: Complied designed and executed the map of Greater Khartoum as part of my M.Sc. degree at the University of Glasgow.
– 1982- 1984: Member for the steering committee of the Atlas of the Arab World. This project was sponsored by the Arab League countries. I was one of four University Doctors who constituted the technical specifications of the Atlas and later I revised all its maps. The physical section of Atlas was published in 1997
-During this period I have designed and compiled the map of Nyala town for planning purposes.
1981 – now: University of Khartoum Teaching Activties.
1969- 1980: Worked for Sudan Surveys department, activities achieved:
The 12 parallel Triangulation scheme – sponsored by
American Aid Work involved geodetic reconnaissance and observation of control points of the first and second orders of Triangulation network.
-Choosing, observing and markings control points for aerial photography in some remote parts of the Sudan.
-Demarcating and leveling of large plots of mechanized rain- fed agricultural schemes in Eastern Sudan. Urban Surveying for the purpose of adjudication and for town planning .
