ii) NEW ESTABLISHMENTS

2017 Completion of the new histology laboratory located at the first floor in the new building. The old histology lab. Was located at the basement floor with a lot of problems of sewage leakage.

 

iii) SERVICE ACTIVITIES

2021 Member and reporter of a committee formed by Sudan Medical Council to review and revise graduate competencies. This committee targets medical schools all over Sudan to recommend common graduate competencies.
2019 up to now Member of different committees formed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to evaluate the curriculum, physical and human resources of new medical schools. I have been invited to evaluate five new medical schools. My role is mainly to look after basic medical sciences with regard to curriculum, laboratories and human resources.
2019 up to now I worked with other medical schools as an expert to help them towards accreditation by Sudan medical council. The medical schools include Shendi University, ِAlzaiem Alazhary University, National University, Nabata College and Al Fajr College for Science and Technology. My role varied with different stages of accreditation including advocacy about accreditation to staff and students,  guiding and coaching in development of the self-study and revision and correction of the final version of the self-study.
2021 Selected by the Sudan Medical Council as an assessor in the accreditation for medical school
2015 – up to now Supervised many of the medical students` associations, societies and activities. Most of these are extracurricular activities

 

iv) OTHER ACTIVITIES

Date Activity  
  Student counselling: as head of department or vice dean I had uncountable encounters with students-in-difficulty. Even after my administrative positions, students continue to counsel me and I had many successful stories.
