a- Professional Societies Membership

  •  Member of the Royal Entomological Society

  • A founder and a member of the Sudanese Environment Protection Society
  • President of the Sudanese Environment Protection Society in the period 1975 to 1980.

  • Appointed as the head of a group of scientists concerned with Conservation of Wildlife in the Sudan

  • In 2003 the Greater Nile Oil Operating Company contacted a group of three staff members from the University of Khartoum including Dr. Tigani M.H. Allam, Dr. Dawi Musa Hamad from the Zoology Department and Dr. Kamal Ramadan from the Electric Engineering Department to report and suggest possible solutions for electric trips caused by birds in El Muglad Basin. The group visited Heglig and El Wohda Fields and submitted the following papers:

  •  Greater Nile Oil Operating Company, again in 2005, contacted Dr. Tigani and Dr. Dawi to study and report about possible solutions to birds threatening aircraft and causing airplane strikes at Heglig Airfield. The following report was submitted and bird deterring equipment is being purchased to be installed.
