Elmuntasir Abdallah Hag Eltom, MSc.

Elmuntasir earned his BSc. (1999) and MSc. (2002)  from University of Khartoum, Faculty of mathematical sciences [Computer Department], he has worked as a Teaching-Assistant and a lecturer at the faculty since 1999.

In his early days as a Teaching-Assistant, he established some of the computer laboratories network, installed Server/Client software, Printers, Network devices, and contributed to the establishment of a LAN digital library for 4th and 5th year students, he was also selected to be among the University of Khartoum Network Project Team members for connecting all the campuses with the university network.

Elmuntasir was the coordinator of the Distance Learning Program [DL] in faculty, where he designed all the syllabuses layout, illustration and graphics, he also prepared and teached a DL module entitled “Fundamentals of Programming” which touches on the various knowledge areas required for understanding computer software essentials.

He also worked as a coordinator for the “Higher Diploma in IT” program in the faculty for four academic years, duties involve selection and interviewing of students, coordination with teachers, organizing entities and facilitation of communication and activities and securing required resources for the successful and approved completion of the program.

He is interested in software development, and he has developed many national systems among them:

  • Barcode printing system in Sudanese Passport – [Sudan Currency Printing Press].
  • Aliens from Sudanese Origin ID cards – [Passports and immigration Administration – Sudanese Ministry of Interior].

Beside his academic activities, he is also an active contributor in many governmental projects, for he has been among the various teams appointed by the Sudanese Build-Operate-Own-Transfer [Boot] project higher committee to establish specification for Passports, communication networks and Civil role.

Elmuntasir is also an International EFQM Assessor and member of the EFQM [European Foundation for Quality Management] organization in Brussels, Belgium, and is actively involved in assessment according to the model, as he contributed in more than 12 rounds of assessment of various organizations in Sudan.
