15.1. A breeding stock of mice and rats were furnished to the Laboratory
Animal Colony at the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health through
my MVSc. research funds provided by the ODA (UK).
15.2 Various equipment, apparatuses and laboratory supplies (e.g. an ELISA
system and software, 2 computer sets, cell harvester, Helena immuonelecterophoresis system, 2 electric generators, …) as well as training opportunities for graduate students, locally or at ILRAD and Hannover, were facilitated to the Department of Parasitology, University of Khartoum, through research projects funds sponsored by IAEA, IFS, FAO and the Cooperation Links with Liverpool and Hannover.
Participated in the negotiating a donation of a real state of 10 000 m2 at Showak in the eastern region with the local government and followed up its registration with the official authorities under the name of the University of Khartoum. Subsequently, superintended the construction and running of the founded Camel Research Field Station.
