Key Qualifications

As an electrical engineer with a higher degree in electrical engineering, and experience in investigating power systems, in particular the National Grid of Sudan, main interests relate to research on concurrent power systems issues, and analysis on proposed electrification projects, with reference to steady state and dynamic performance. Loadflow and short circuit analysis for design purposes, transient and dynamic stability investigations, audit of specifications and scope of supply, advising on operation structures, and reliability analysis all fall within the scope of specialization.

Wide experience with the electric industry was gained in the period 2003 to the present, as a technical advisor to the National Electricity Corporation (NEC), and now continuing as advisor to the Ministry of Electricity & Dams. This period was coincidental with many ongoing projects, such as the new load dispatch centre, new power stations, the long term power plan, and automation of hydro and thermal stations, etc, all in which I participated and contributed proposals which were implemented.

Extensive experience was also gain in the electrification & wiring of several projects, First with C-Power Company (consulting & contracting) 1993 -2000, and then with University of Khartoum Consultancy Corporation 2003 to date.
