·     Co-ordination for the soils affected by desertification in Desertification and Desert Cultivation Center (DADCSC).

·      Chairman of the Dept. of Biochem. and Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Khartoum. Member of the committee appointed to establish and develop the center for desertification studies. Representative of the Department in the Faculty of Agricultural Board.

·      1986 – 87: Member of the Faculty of Agricultural Board, U.of K. Member of the Faculty of Agricultural 19987 – 88: Research Board. Member of University of Khartoum Senate.

·    1985 – 86: Member of the student tour committee to schedule and organize the class field tours annually.1984 – 85: Secretary of the Departmental Board. Representative of the Department in the Faculty of Agricultural Board.

·    1983 – 84: Responsible for the Departmental Library. Member of the Faculty Examination committee.
