{"id":16,"date":"2014-11-23T09:32:11","date_gmt":"2014-11-23T09:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staffpages.uofk.edu\/zuheir-nourdayem\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2014-11-23T09:32:11","modified_gmt":"2014-11-23T09:32:11","slug":"initiating-research","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staffpages.uofk.edu\/zuheir-nourdayem\/?page_id=16","title":{"rendered":"Initiating Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h4>In addition to supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, I managed to get the following grants:<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>1- <\/strong>AFord Foundation Grant through the Institute of Environmental Studies, U. of K. to Study Biodiversity in Alhamdab Dam area, 1994 (<strong>see publication no. 34)<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>2- <\/strong>AFord Foundation Grant Through the Institute of Environmental Studies, U. of K. to Study Promotion of Aquaculture through Feeds from Non-conventional Sources, 1997 (<strong>see publication no. 35<\/strong>).<\/h4>\n<h4>3- A grant from The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through Sudan Institute For Natural Sciences, to Study the Nimitt <em>Simulium griseicolle<\/em> problem in Northern State, to be executed in 2005 by a team of relevant experts.<\/h4>\n<h4>4- A grant from The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through Sudan Institute For Natural Sciences, to use termites mounds in mineral prospecting, to be executed in 2005 by a team of relevant experts.<\/h4>\n<h4>5- Upgrading of Systematic knowledge in flora and fauna. A project requested by The Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resources Khartoum and submitted to the United Nation Development Programme for funding. (See page 27 in publication no. 41,).<\/h4>\n<h4>6- Flora and Fauna of the desert. A project requested by The Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resources Khartoum and submitted To the United Nation Development Programme for funding.
