• Paediatrics : Khartoum Teaching Hospital – Paediatrics department :

– More than 100 beds   – Covering Emergency 24 hours once a week receiving   

all kinds of paediatrics  emergencies   – Covering the referred clinic once a  

week  –  Attending  daily consultant rounds & tutorials once a week.

     Skills:   – Setting I.V Canula & Umbilical catheter   – Blood sampling    – Setting of    

nasogastric  tube  – Lumber puncture  – Intraoseous needle – Setting of   

urinary   catheter   – Abdominal paracentesis   – Exchange transfusion. 

• Internal medicine: Khartoum Teaching Hospital:

            More than 500 beds – Covering Emergency for 24 hours once a week,

 covering referred clinic weekly. Attending tutorials & clinical rounds.

          Skills: – Fixing I.V canula    – Blood sampling – Setting of nasogastric tube   

          Lumber punctures      – Pleural aspiration      – Abdominal paracentesis.

• Surgery: Soba University Hospital – More than 100 beds – Covering emergency 24 hours once a week  – Covering referred clinic once a week   – Attending major theatre once a week     – Minor theatre once a week     – Attending rounds twice a week   – tutorials once a week.

              Skills:     – Setting I.V cannula – Blood sampling     – Setting of    nasogastric tube –   

Setting urinary catheter      – Management of comatose & shocked patients, Abscesses drainage – Wound dressing & repair –  Appendectomies.  Operations Assistant:  Mastectomy – Resection & anastomosis nd labraotomies.          

• OBS & GYN : Military Hospital  –

More than 100 beds –  covering Emergency 24 hours twice a week  – Covering referred clinic once a week  – Attending consultant rounds once a week-Theatre    & tutorials once a week. Skills:     – Setting I.V canula    – Blood sampling – Conducting Normal Vaginal Deliveries – Dilatation & Curettage (D & C) -Evacuations – Drainage of  vulval abscess-Caesarian section. Operations Assistant: Abdominal & Vaginal Hysterectomies   –   Myomectomies.
