October 1984- September 1996:

Teaching Assistant at the Department of History of the faculty of Education, University of Khartoum. Duties included lectureship and supervision of vocational leaves

September 1996- May 2003:

            Lecturer, Faculty of Education, University of Khartoum. Duties included lectureship in Ancient History, Medieval History, European History and Modern Sudanese History. Further, the duties included supervision of study tours, student’s research assignment and contributing in the general administrative and academic committees of the Faculty and Department.

During the period October 1996 to August 1998 I was on leave without pay, lecturing history at the Girls’ College of Al Qurayyat, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

May 2003- Now:

Assistant Professor, Department of history, Faculty of Education, Carrying out the above mentioned duties. This is in addition to being the Head, Department of History during the period August 200August 2009
