{"id":229,"date":"2017-05-21T12:41:01","date_gmt":"2017-05-21T12:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staffpages.uofk.edu\/naser-eldinbilal\/?page_id=229"},"modified":"2017-08-27T10:03:08","modified_gmt":"2017-08-27T10:03:08","slug":"community-services-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staffpages.uofk.edu\/naser-eldinbilal\/?page_id=229","title":{"rendered":"Community services"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">Training of staff working at Abha Food &amp; Water Laboratory regarding microbiological investigations related to drinking water.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">Representing the college in a committee supervising irrigation in the cities of Abha and KhamisMushayt.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">Technical and scientific supervision of the team conducting microbiological tests of irrigation water in Abha and KhamisMushayt, specifically searching for possible contamination, its sources and relation to sewage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">Participation in microbiological testing (including special tests) of specimens during the outbreak of food poisoning in Abha. Lectures in the topic were also given.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">Giving regular health education lectures together with department of community medicine regarding endemic diseases at the School Health Unit in Abha.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">Closely searching for and tracing nosocomial infections among patients, visitors and hospital staff and possible source in view of their prevention. Also, investigating the possible sources and modes of transmission, in addition to finding methods of prevention.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">During my deanship(2009-2015), I have established regular medical, health services and education program to serve our community at large in remote areas where there is lack or deficient medical health care facilities. This program is usually conducted during the annual vacation of Medical Laboratory Sciences Students. The last outreach program was named after me \u2013 Professor Naser Eldin Bilal Campaign to Sinnar State. It covered a total of about 4000 people in three localities during the period (2 \u2013 9) January 2015. It is worthy to note that these 4000 people were provided with medical and laboratory investigations and treatment of the diseases diagnosed or detected for free.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">I was the first Dean to prepare and implement the MSc. By course Degrees in 5 disciplines in Aug. 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2011, UofK.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: times new roman,times;\">During my Deanship I also managed to change the <em>Logo<\/em> of the Faculty of Med. Laboratory Sciences (to be more representative of the activities), UofK Feb. 2015 (before the 6<sup>th<\/sup> annual conference on Medical and Health Sciences studies of the Graduate College, UofK Feb. 2015) <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Training of staff working at Abha Food &amp; Water Laboratory regarding microbiological investigations related to drinking water.
