In journalism he contributed articles to the London based Arabic and English language press including <strong>Al Hayat <\/strong><em>{Arabic daily},<\/em><strong>Al Quds <\/strong><em>{Arabic daily},<\/em><strong> Al Aalam <\/strong><em>{Arabic weekly}, <\/em><strong>The Guardian <\/strong><em>{English daily}, <\/em><strong>Africa Events <\/strong><em>{English monthly} <\/em>&amp; <strong>Impact International <\/strong><em>{English monthly}.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While still conducting the PhD research <strong>M Haroon<\/strong> published from London the <em>monthly newsletter<\/em> <strong>Sudan Focus<\/strong>, and co-published the <em>weekly Arabic newspaper <strong>Ash-Shahid ad Dawli<\/strong>. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Back home (1998 \u2013 00), he published, with others, and chaired the board of directors of the Khartoum based <em>daily Arabic-language <strong>As Sahafi Ad Dawli<\/strong><\/em> (1999-2003). The latter was merged with two other Sudanese newspapers, Al Hurriya and As Sahafa, creating <strong><em>Multi-Media Group (MMG)<\/em><\/strong>, the publisher of the <em>daily Arabic, <strong>As Sahafa<\/strong> <\/em>(2003 \u2013 00).
