Ph.D. (Architecture & Urban Design) Thesis Title: Urban Regeneration and the Transformation of Urban Waterfront; A Case Study of Liverpool Waterfront Regeneration
The research aims to explore the process by which the transformation of Liverpool waterfront from a derelict eyesore docklands to spectacular waterfront destination took place. The research emphasises on the issue of urban design and place making. It employs a qualitative approach in which the researcher examined a significant amount of regeneration related documents, numerous field visits, and conducted a number of focus interviews with key stakeholders.
