AgELISA, electrophoresis, etc. The main projects were:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Epidemiology of tropical theileriosis: 1. Assessment of susceptibility of exotic and local breeds of cattle to infection with <em>Theileria annulata<\/em> in the Sudan. 2. Vaccination trials using tissue culture attenuated vaccines\u201d. MA Bakheit and AA Latif.<\/li>\n<li>Joint FAO\/IAEA Project # 7597 SUD entitled \u201cEpidemiological studies on non-tsetse transmitted bovine trypanosomiasis in Khartoum State, Sudan\u201d part of the joint project \u201cUse of immunoassay methods for improved diagnosis of trypanosomiasis and monitoring tsetse and trypanosomiasis\u201d. M Fadl, Husna Ibrahim and MA Bakheit.<\/li>\n<li>Establishment and evaluation of indices for expected danger of introduction of <em>Chrysomya bezziana<\/em> (Old World Screwworm Fly) in the Sudan.\u00a0 EE ElOwni, SM Hassan and MA Bakheit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p>April 2001 to December 2004:<\/p>\n<p>Doctoral student in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fz-borstel.de\/cms\/index.php?id=7&amp;L=1\">Research Center Borstel<\/a> and the Free University of Berlin, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Subject of the work: Identification and characterization of genes and proteins of <em>Theileria\u00a0lestoquardi<\/em> and their application in diagnostic tools.
