The consultancy assignment included updating a comprehensive economic database, re-estimating a macro-econometric model and simulating various policy scenarios to inform macroeconomic policy.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Siddig was able to successfully update the database, produce a detailed supporting user guide, and estimate the model as well as simulating various scenarios, and assessing their policy implications. He worked very hard for the same, since there was no official SAM available. He started with numerous governmental sources and combined them meticulously to produce the I-O table for us. He has also presented a few well-researched papers at GTAP conferences. I&#8217;m sure he has a wonderful future in his research career.
