Member of National Steering Committee, the Nile Basin Initiative’s National Trans-boundary Micro-grants Project for Sudan 2003 to 2009 (in which capacity also participated, among other functions, in Workshop on Soil Erosion, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 2006 and Workshop on Result-based Monitoring and Evaluation, Cairo, Egypt 2008).
Assisted UNESCO office in Sudan and Sudan’s National Council for Vocational and Technical Education and Training with editing / finalization of project document for a sub-sector study of the country’s vocational and technical education system (2009).
Consulting Team Member (on Local Economic Development – LED) for UN-Habitat and Khartoum State Urban Poor Project (January – June 2008). The project constitutes part of Khartoum State’s Structural Planning process currently underway. The LED study included assessment of the existing poverty alleviation initiatives and the role of micro-finance therein.
Assisted Sudan’s Program for Graduates Self-employment with training of its Micro-finance Beneficiaries (for one-week) in each of Gedaref State and River Nile State, 2007 and 2008 respectively.
Assisted ILO Acting as (its) interim focal point in Sudan (September 2007 –January 2008), in which capacity also participated in Bank of Sudan’s Micro-finance (unit) Conference, Khartoum 2006, and several other meetings and workshops organized by the same unit.
