  • Presentation of laboratorydemonstrations, monitoring of field training, and assisting students in application of research methods
  • Assisting lecturers in teaching techniques and learning principles

Save the Children USA: Community Health Coordinator, Emergency Health, West Darfur State –September 2nd 2004 – October 15th 2005:

  • assisting the program manager in the running of activities and representing the Foundation in NGOs coordination meeting at SMOH and UNFPA
  • provision of technical support for community health and social initiatives in Primary Health Care activities. Establishing of CHCs in each camps
  • In charge of implementing Health Promotion and EPI activities in 15 IDP camps containing 21 PHC clinics.
  • conduction of rapid health assessment as well as Reproductive Health, Nutrition, morbidity and sanitation surveys

  • Conduction of surveillance system to decide the prevalence rate and apply the admission criteria in the new operation sites
  • Implementation of SAFE strategy for Trachoma eradication in West Kordofan, Abyie and Bentiu
  • Disseminating of health education campaigns and social mobilization for the public and school students to demonstrate face washing and environmental sanitation
  • Encouraging community participation in Trachoma eradication activities through health societies and committees
  • Facilitating ToT project for NGOs (FAR, GOAL, Save, Medaire, Red crescent ) staff and CHPs in El-Rank, El-Dibab, Abyie, Bantiu, Rabkona and Mayou camp
  • Participating in mass treatment in intervention areas through Azithromax distribution campaigns

Federal Ministry of Health, Directorate General of International Health: Public Health Officer for Emergency Health in Greater Darfur crisis – January 28th 2004- April 28th 2004.

  • Setting up the EWARN system in collaboration with WHO to investigate passively about the outbreak of epidemics and reporting of communicable diseases
  • Designing of immunization campaigns for the childhood immunized diseases
  • Coordination with NGOs, Unicef and WES projects to ensure safety water, healthy latrine, controlling disease vectors and other activities of environmental sanitation and health services
