font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>Helping the poor, orphans and special need children by raising funds through the activities of the IVWG group.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong><u>Childhood Diabetes Center:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>I am one of the team who worked hard together to build the center.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>The Sudanese Society of Childhood Diabetes built a five-story building in Khartoum 2, by donation collected from inside and outside of Sudan.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>It is a national center of excellence that provides service to more than 3000 diabetic children.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>The center is equipped with an advanced laboratory, Library, lecture theatre and a large insulin storage area. <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>Research is an important aspect of the center.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong><u>Sudan Childhood Diabetes Program:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>I was the academic secretory of Sudan Childhood Diabetes Programme.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>This programme was a 2years one, that was conducted in 2008 \u2013 2010. <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>100 paediatricians, 100 nutritionist and 100 diabetic educators from different states of Sudan were trained.25 clinics were equipped and opened in trainee\u2019s areas.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>This programme was chosen as a model in Africa and given the award, in 2012, in Turkey, during the Childhood Diabetes Conference.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong><u>Community Neonatal Care Initiative- Dongola Locality:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>\u00a0(Situation Analysis and Interventions to reduce Neonatal Mortality in Sudan)<\/strong> <strong>2011.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\">I was one of the basic core group.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>The project was held on 2010-2011.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>The general objective of the project was to reduce the neonatal mortality rate (NMR) at Dongola Locality and hence to achieve MDG4 by 2015.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>The project aimed to reduce NMR at Dongola locality by training village\u2019s midwives and by raising the awareness among healthcare providers and the local community.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong><u>Special Contribution<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>During my time as a head department of paediatrics, I raised the important issue of the under evaluation of the MD issued by the faculty of Medicine, by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialities. <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>We prepared all the needed documents about the MD curriculum and training programme and forwarded them to the Dean, who considered them as a model and distributed them to the involved departments.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>With the help of some Sudanese doctors who got good relations with the Saudi Commission, the faculty managed to raise and discuss this important issue and to bring the deserved evaluation to its MD.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong>It was a big achievement and as a result hundreds of doctors working in Saudi Arabia were upgraded to higher jobs.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: times new roman, times, serif;\"><strong><u>Computer Literacy: <\/u><\/strong>Good command on Microsoft programs and Internet.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Member 0f the Sudanese Doctors Union.
