Research Interests & Approach

  • Environmental and forest monitoring
  • Environmental and forest conservation
  •  Land use land cover mapping
  • Vegetation remote sensing
  • Environmental management
  • I am applied environmentalist with research focus on mapping, predicting, and monitoring indigenous and fragmented forests.
  • The research projects that I have been involved include Application of Remote Sensing and GIS in applied Environmental and Forest Sciences.
  • Also, interested in classifying land use/cover types, thermal differences and relative vulnerability to climate change, assessing ecosystem fragmentation, land degradation as well as modelling forest bio-physiological variables.
  • My research approach based on applied Earth Observation and Remote Sensing in forest ecoystems.
