Experience in routine diagnostic service and public health microbiology<\/p>\n July-October 1965<\/strong><\/p>\n Worked in the Bacteriology Department, St. Mary\u2019s Hospital Medical School, the Wright-Fleming Institute, London. More experience in handling microbiological specimens<\/p>\n October 1965-June 1966<\/strong><\/p>\n Attended the course for the Academic Post-graduate Diploma in Bacteriology of the University of London in the School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and obtained the Diploma in Bacteriology in June, 1966<\/p>\n July 1966<\/strong><\/p>\n Appointed lecturer in the Department of Bacteriology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, Khartoum<\/p>\n July 1969<\/strong><\/p>\n Appointed Senior Lecturer<\/p>\n July 1972<\/strong><\/p>\n Appointed Reader<\/p>\n July 1974<\/strong><\/p>\n Appointed Professor<\/p>\n July 1976-July 1977<\/strong><\/p>\n On Sabbatical Leave at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine doing research on the role of cell-mediated immunity in fungal infections with special reference to mycetoma.<\/p>\n Gave lectures to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at several medical schools and hospitals in the University of London on Mycology Research.<\/p>\n Also, gained experience in clinical microbiology diagnosis in the West Middlesex Hospital, London.<\/p>\n July 1977-1984<\/strong><\/p>\n Professor of Medical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia<\/p>\n During this period, has established the new Department in the Faculty of Medicine and King Khalid Hospital and supervised all routine diagnostic services in both King Khalid and King Abd Al Aziz University Hospitals.
