1- Undergraduates:
In all my postgraduate posts I have been actively involved in the teaching of undergraduate medical students in the form of lectures, tutorials, clinical ward rounds and practical sessions at the faculty of Medicine, Khartoum Teaching Hospital and Soba University Hospital and during the convoy visits of the medical students to the different parts of the Sudan ( total attended 12) for the delivery of services and socio-academic students activities.
-4th Year Medical students:
I was the organiser of the time table for the course of surgery for 4th year medical students 1997-1999. I am also involved in clinical ward rounds, lectures and demonstration of clinical surgical problems during the course.
-5th Year Medical Students:
In the form of clinical ward rounds, lectures and in supervision of students’ weekly surgical seminars.
-6th Year Medical Students:
Clinical rounds in general surgery and paediatric surgery. Regular weekly evening tutorials.
2- postgraduates:
-House Officers:-
In charge of basic training for a group of house officers (2-4) every 2-3 months in the subspecialty of paediatric surgery at Soba University Hospital and, previously, Khartoum Teaching Hospital.
-Medical Officers (Senior House Officers) & surgical registrars:-
Training in surgical and operative management of most of the emergency and elective Paediatric Surgical conditions at Soba University Hospital and Khartoum Teaching Hospital.
Tuition for Part I MD in clinical surgery.
3- During my appointments abroad I was actively involved in the teaching activities. I was nominated and awarded the Certificate of the Fellow & Registrar Teaching Award of the Year (2007) by the University of Adelaide, South Australia.
4- Actively involved in the tuition and training of Diploma in Paediatric Surgery trainees, the Sudan Medical Specialization Board. Jan 2010 todate.
