Since 1971 attended many International conferences, workshops and discussion groups dealing with issues related to anthropology, rural development, indigenous knowledge, urbanization cultural change and rural education in Africa, Asia, Europe, the United States and South America. Worked as consultant to national and international institution such as UNESCO, ISNAR, UNFPA, UNDP, NORAD, IDRC, UNOPS and AADO. Recently carried an evaluation of centers such as Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI, 2000), Ethiopia and the Research School for Resource Studies for Development (CERES), the Netherlands (Nov. 2001) and worked on the scientific committee of the UNESCO imitated Comparative Research on Poverty (CROP) and the Advisory Committee of the MEAward of the Population Council, Cairo, Egypt. Member of the UNESCO team of the Initiative for the Horn of Africa 2015.
